CCTV Footage Shows Banksy At Work

A grainy, low-resolution video has surfaced on the web, appearing to show surreptitious street art supremo Banksy at work.

The short clip apparently shows the world-famous artist working under the cover of darkness on one of his popular street murals titled ‘Lights, Camera, Vandalism’, a stencilled piece which depicts a chimpanzee climbing up a lamppost with a director’s clapperboard.

In the video, the artist, clad in ubiquitous streetwear of hoodie and jeans, cycles nonchalantly up to a wall and proceeds to use stencils, spray paint and some cardboard to create the elaborate artwork.

It was reported that a friend of Banksy’s made the film back in 2010 as part of a report by The Sunday Times.

In our New Compton Street space, we had a steady stream of Banksy prints coming and going. Current in the gallery we have Trolley Hunters – Colour, Bomb Hugger and Grin Reaper
